About Flow / RMX
I wanted to work on the idea of ‘remixing’ particular geometries for my 2015 show Lucid / RMX. It’s an idea that comes straight out of the music world, and in particular the kind of electronica I’m listening to much of the time, where named producers and musicians are asked to create remixed versions of original compositions.
It’s an idea that I like to think can be worked into the visual arts too.
With more powerful computers, I found I could remix the sculptural elements with overlays and remodelling to create more fluid, more complex studies.
This piece, Flow / RMX / panton, takes the idea and applies it to create a new, more idiosyncratic Flow study, that I felt can also be seen as a small homage to a true great, Verner Panton. I trust he would approve.
This particular edition was also chosen as part of a commission put together for a collector's home in London.

Flow / RMX / panton is a metallic Lambda photographic print, optionally mounted to Plexiglass and Dibond, and fitted with a hidden subframe, ready to install.
Work can be supplied unmounted and ready to frame if you’d prefer.
The work is individually signed and numbered verso, with both a unique catalogue raisonné number and the edition number for guaranteed authenticity.
