Studio Work
I’m working with a number of different techniques, so I’ve written some brief explanatory notes here which I hope may add some clarity. Digital Drawing / Constructed Photography
Digital drawing encompasses most of the work I've 'built' on digital systems to date. The completed drawings tend to be exposed onto metallic photographic paper using laser light, to produce large format colour prints. The works could equally well be thought of as cameraless photography or digital photograms.
Works on Paper
About five or six years back I decided to start making inked works on paper, experimenting with materials, processes and techniques in the studio here. Although superficially similar to the photographic works, there is of course a fascinating world of difference between light exposures in a darkroom and applying pigmented inks to paper.
Experimental Print Club
In 2016 I decided to start a print club using a monthly subscription model. The idea is to create smaller more ephemeral works, mostly on paper, and distribute them regularly by post. I hope the pieces extend the ideas and processes I've been using in the larger works, and cross pollinate new ideas with my main practice.
Digital Screen Art
Digital screen art is an area ripe for study that has been a long time coming. Adding time, motion and back illumination to the work adds an array of beautiful new possibilities to create works that can be displayed on screen, video walls, or by projection, both for the home and the workplace.

Exhibitions
The exhibitions listing presents a catalogue of images from solo and group shows, alongside fairs and other events, with some beautiful in situ photography taken by Julian Welsh, Stephen White, Barry Cawston, Ed Bartlett and Liz Eve amongst others.
Commissions
A catalogue of selected projects and bespoke commissions from 2005 to the present day. With a little discussion, some emailed visuals and sketches, and maybe a site visit, it's often possible to create something truly bespoke to better fit a particular project or place.
