Spinnaker / cerulean aegis, recently installed in a stylish Victorian home here in Bristol

A local couple in North Bristol commissioned a new Spinnaker edition from the studio just before Christmas. The piece is installed directly above their wood burning stove, so the challenge for me involved finding a material for the piece that would withstand the rising heat over the long term. After a little research I commissioned Genesis Imaging to make the work as a Chromaluxe print on a CNC milled alloy panel. The Chromaluxe process is similar to enamelling, and uses a heat process to transfer the inks which are effectively baked onto the substrate, giving a heat and chemical resistant finish, as well as a beautiful glass like deep gloss finish.
