Stellify, a solo show at Mark Pepperall’s Oink Gallery in Swindon. I’ve been working with Mark since he first opened Oink, maybe just under a decade ago, it continues to be a thriving contemporary art space in Swindon’s old town.
Mark and I first met when I was exhibiting work by Stanley Donwood as part of my Transistor Project, at various fairs, and bonded over our shared love both for Stanley’s work and the music of Radiohead, Donwood’s enduring creative collaborators and key influence for much of his output, or perhaps that should be the other way around. You’d have to be in the room to know.
For Stellify at Oink I’ve made a Diasec mounted 240cm wide Stellify 4 / deconstructed piece, produced as a pigment print on Hahnemühle's new 340gsm metallic paper, that has the most amazing ability to hold and reflect colour back into the eye. It’s almost as though the paper has an internal source of illumination. Additionally I exhibited a broad cross section of pieces from the past ten years or so, including new works on paper, a number of etchings from my adventures at Spike Print Studio, and some traditionally framed and glazed editions on paper.
I hope it’s made for an engaging exhibition. It’s certainly a real pleasure to be back at Oink, Mark has a really refreshing way of cutting through to the heart of the issue conversationally, and that kind of energy is always good to be around!

We are super excited to present Stellify, the second solo exhibition by the incredibly talented Chuck Elliott, a longtime collaborator and friend of the gallery since we first opened our doors in 2016. Chuck’s work continues to captivate and mesmerise, blending vibrant colour, intricate detail, and dynamic compositions that invite the viewer into a world of rich, immersive expression.
Stellify marks a powerful continuation of Chuck’s artistic journey, placing new pieces alongside some of his signature works that explore themes of transformation and the cosmos. The exhibition’s title reflects the artist’s fascination with the way energy, movement, and light can evoke a sense of awe and wonder, much like the act of stars coming into alignment.
Join us on April 17th at 7pm for the preview night, where we will be celebrating Chuck's work with an evening of art, music, and community. With a bar, DJs, and the full collection of Chuck’s latest works on display, the night promises to be a vibrant and unforgettable experience.
