About the exhibition

London based urban art project Beautiful Crime invited eleven artists to participate in an intriguing group show 'The Art of Doing More', in collaboration with the design team behind the Surface 3, a new tablet device manufactured by Microsoft.

Microsoft's proposal was for each artist to create a cohesive set of ten new artworks, using the Surface 3. These 110 new artworks would then be exhibited in Broadgate, London, at an exhibition designed to highlight the potential of the latest digital tools in contemporary studio practice.

It was of course great to be included on the roster. Many thanks to curators Ruthie Holloway and Liam West at Beautiful Crime for making it all happen.

Press release

To celebrate the launch of the Surface 3, Microsoft has teamed up with Beautiful Crime and 11 of Britain's hottest contemporary artists to put together this exhibition of specially created original works, and to explore what 'The Art of Doing More' means to them.

As the art world becomes more and more synergised with the digital age and all the technology that comes with it, artists are increasingly exploring the possibilities of meshing art with technology.

This exhibition, featuring 101 unique artworks, has given the artists we work with a fantastic opportunity to illuminate the Surface 3's ability to combine creativity, art and technology on the go, in ways they hadn't explored before.
