RWA 172 Annual Open Exhibition

Last Friday saw the official opening of the RWA’s 172nd Annual Open, beautifully curated again this year. Great to have two pieces on show there through to 28th December.
The smaller mono work is ReVOX / silvered / EPC. It's a hybrid digital / photopolymer edition, effectively a duotone, that’s been fascinating to work on. I’m planning on travelling further down this road!
The larger colour geometry is Balla / linear progression 4. Created from a series of original pencil drawings that have been scanned, composited and recoloured, prior to printing as a unique new pigment print edition. The work takes advantage of the subtle possibilities that digital editing enables, shifting colours and tones across the surface of the work, editing lines and marks, and exploring underpainting and fine detail.
It’s a lovely show full of intriguing and engaging works, well worth a visit if you have the time!
