Spinnaker EPC foiled and Matrix / ONE
Editions #23 and 24 for my Print Club
I’ve completed a pair of new works for my Experimental Print Club, edition numbers 23 and 24. I’ve been experimenting with foil blocking techniques for these editions, with the help and advice of Rik at Ripe Digital in Corsham.
There are a number of interesting new ways of laying really beautiful, brightly coloured metallic foils onto paper using short run digital printing and automated cutting processes, but for these two editions I’m working with a solid holographic foil base overprinted with translucent inks that effectively colour shift in some quite intriguing ways as light moves across the surface of the work. The resulting prints are then debossed onto Somerset paper which frames the inked areas beautifully.

New works are sent out somewhat sporadically throughout the year, often in line with the changing seasons. Each piece is unique, exclusive, and only available on the day it’s editioned, the size of the edition being determined by the number of members on the day.
