Varnishing Day, RWA Open 2013

I misunderstood the invitation for the RWA’s annual ‘Varnishing Day’ lunch, so sadly missed the artist’s lunch and preview. Made it in with the locals for the opening though. Really pleased to find my work ‘Radial / THREE / pearlescent’ hanging in the main gallery, just across from Anna Gillespie’s fabulous small bronze ‘The Ghost of Summer’. Also hugely worthy of a mention, Derek Balmer’s two new oils in the end gallery. Easily the most accomplished paintings on show… looking forward to his forthcoming show at Catto Gallery this autumn.
