I’m excited to be posting a new work I’ve been drawing on and off since February, titled Phase TWO / hi chroma.
I’ve been thinking about and using modular components in the work for a long time now, but often find my experiments in the area don’t work out quite well enough to actually see the light of day! I’m looking for solutions that allow the underlying geometry and the overlaid modularity to mesh in a way that is both cohesive and somehow visually engaging, as ever there are a number of thoughts and rules in play that drive the drawing process.
It’s difficult to put my finger on exactly what the key issues that still need resolving are, but there seems to be something here that is beginning to gel. I’m going to keep working this seam in the hope of discovering more solutions to the problem as the summer comes in…

Phase TWO / hi chroma is a limited edition metallic pigment print on Titanium Gloss 300gsm fine art paper; individually signed and editioned with a unique catalogue raisonné number for guaranteed authenticity.
The work can be supplied unframed or framed and ready to hang. I tend to recommend mounting the work in a fairly minimal tulipwood frame with a Diasec mount to Plexiglass. If you’d like to discuss other framing options to suit your space please do get in touch.
